Instruction by John Sullins, Military Master at Arms. We will also have two days with guest Maestri, Ralph and Janine Sahm, from the San José State University Fencing Masters Program. This will be an intensive program focusing mainly on the Italian foil but also introducing Italian Epée and Sabre, including traditional Italian broadsword. Topics studied will include, but are not limited to, history of the Italian fencing school, the guard, foot work, placement of the weapon, simple and compound attacks, defense, counteroffense, bouting, and advanced topics. Attendees will receive one or three units of credit upon completion of the class depending on the number of hours they complete. For instance, if you cannot attend the entire week, you could take the class for one unit and attend for the equivalent of three days. Up to three units of this program may be used in conjunction with the San José State University Fencing Masters Program. For enrollment and more information please visit the SSU Web site...
